We drove into Badlands National Park at night. It was dark, so when the landscape dramatically changed from flat to what you would expect it to look like on Mars, it was pretty thrilling… and a little scary for Nicole to drive through! But we made it past the steep drops, mountain goats and one lane roads to the Badlands Inn. The next day we drove Loop Road through the entire park. It felt a little eerie at first, but it is one of the most interesting and beautiful landscapes!
